- ➤ Franklin Farmers Market moved from The Factory to Franklin United Methodist Church (120 Aldersgate Way) on Saturday, Jan. 3, and its new layout with triple the parking space drew more vendors and customers. The market will continue every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Williamson Herald
- ➤ Local leader Mindy Tate, CEO of Franklin Tomorrow, built her record in local journalism by starting the Williamson Herald in 2005. She now leads programs like Breakfast with the Mayors and FrankTalks to bring people together in Franklin (showing her commitment to community engagement). Williamson Herald
- ➤ A revamped farmers market debuted at The Factory on Saturday, Jan. 3 with more than a dozen vendors selling fresh meats, produce, and baked goods; it now operates every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon rain or shine and is separate from the market at Franklin First United Methodist Church. - ➤ Today a Moderate Flood Watch is in effect from 12:00 p.m. until tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. in Williamson County and other parts of Middle Tennessee — heavy rain expected tonight to Friday night may cause flash flooding in low lying areas and streets. Williamson County Source

- ➤ Lane closures will impact Middle Tennessee from Jan. 11 to Jan. 17 for bridge repairs, utility work and construction on roads including I-40 and I-65. Motorists are advised to follow posted detours and reduced speed limits during both day and night work. Williamson County Source

- ➤ Williamson County Health Department is hosting TN Quit Week from Jan. 5 to Jan. 9 to help smokers quit tobacco for better health and well-being.
