- ➤ A Franklin resident from Oak Cottage received a 2012 Nissan Altima from the Noon Rotary Club and two nonprofits to jumpstart her new chapter. The car was fixed at Christian Brothers Automotive in Franklin and now has an ignition interlock device until she gets her license. Williamson Herald

- ➤ Beloved local historian Tony Turnbow will present his new book Jefferson’s Spy: The Secret Life of Meriwether Lewis at Landmark Booksellers (114 E Main St) on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 6 pm. The free event will include a book talk, question and answer session, and book signing. Williamson County Source
- ➤ The Hoppy Valentine’s Celebration will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Curio Brewing Company (216 Noah Dr.) with live music by Black Hollow from 6–8 p.m., a special Ginger Pig menu, and a bounce house for kids and is free to attend. Williamson County Source

- ➤ The City of Franklin announced five new drop-off locations to help residents recycle glass and cardboard. Materials can be dropped off at Fieldstone Park, Fire Stations No. 6, 7, and 8 and Jim Warren Park + at the BOPAE facility during specified hours. Williamson County Source
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Franklin Fire Department is accepting applications for its paid Fire Intern Program open until April 3 for graduates of 2025 and 2026; applicants must be 18 by April 29 and complete the hiring process at the Recruit Academy, where training lasts 20 weeks (40 hrs per week) (earning firefighter certifications). - ➤ Williamson County establishments earned perfect 100 scores at inspections from Jan 28 to Feb 4. The health department requires these reports be posted visibly—helping customers stay informed. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Food service inspections in Williamson County recorded the lowest scores among several Franklin establishments from Jan. 28 to Feb. 4. Ludlow and Prime, Clovercroft Elementary, Quality Inn and Suites, and Pancho's Place are included, and inspection reports are available at county health offices. Williamson County Source
