  • The 19th annual Franklin Tomorrow Exemplary Community Volunteer Awards honored community leaders and nonprofits for service, leadership and generosity. Held on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Franklin Theatre in downtown Franklin from 6 to 8 p.m. (with a $200 cash prize to a nonprofit chosen by recipients), the event celebrated volunteer spirit.  Williamson Herald

BUSINESS NEWS

  • In-N-Out Burger will open its new Franklin restaurant tomorrow at 1951 Double Double Drive, serving burgers, fries and shakes made with fresh ingredients, and manager Justin Temple said the restaurant will have a drive-thru + indoor and outdoor seating.  Williamson County Source
  • Williamson County has released new business licenses for Feb. 16-23, 2026, covering services such as cosmetology, cleaning, facility maintenance, and flooring installation in Franklin, Brentwood, Spring Hill, and Nashville (as noted by the Tennessee County Clerk).  Williamson County Source
  • United Communications announced today it closed a $230 million credit facility with CoBank to boost its fiber rollout in Brentwood, Franklin, Murfreesboro, and Lebanon (helping bring faster internet to thousands of homes and businesses). The company will invest over $100 million to accelerate its project.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • A small fire in an HVAC unit caused a Monday morning evacuation at Spring Station Middle School in Williamson County—students and staff were temporarily relocated to Summit High School until crews ventilated the hallways and cleared the area.  Williamson County Source
  • Wild About Raptors will offer an interactive learning event on Saturday, Apr. 11 from 10:00 am to 12 pm at Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary (545 Beech Creek Rd S, Brentwood). The $15 program is for participants aged 9 and up and includes talks and hands-on activities with birds of prey.  Williamson County Source
