This weekend Williamson County hosts five events.

A Nemo show is in Franklin, a prom dress event is at a local church, a historic tour occurs at Rippavilla in Spring Hill, an art class is offered in Brentwood, and a Zoo Run Run 5K is scheduled at Nashville Zoo (Feb. 27-28).

Outdoor Living Supply opened a new The Rock Place store at 975 Downs Boulevard to offer hardscapes, natural stone and outdoor living products for contractors and homeowners in Franklin.

It operates Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Franklin’s Williamson County Performing Arts Center hosts its Spring Celebration Series with Lover: The Unofficial Eras Tour on May 15 at 7:00 p.m.; the season features comedy, country and rock tribute shows on April 19, May 10 (with complimentary roses for mothers) and May 29, with tickets costing $30.

Families will register children for kindergarten online beginning March 16, with evening registration help held at elementary schools (check with your zoned school for event dates).

Students must be five by August 15 and provide key documents like proof of residency and a birth certificate, as detailed by WCS.

WCS announced its Assistant Principals of the Year when Creekside Elementary's Amy Akin, Woodland Middle's Dr. Bill Toungette, and Ravenwood High's Leslie Harries were honored for supporting their school communities.

Williamson County Schools Early Learning Programs are accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year for children (ages 3-5) residing in Williamson County.

The Franklin Fire Department will host its 3rd Annual Lead with Fire Summer Camp for teens at the Franklin Fire Training Center from June 1 to 3, 2026, offering hands-on firefighting training for rising 9th to 12th graders.

Registration is open for a limited 20-participant camp (costing $50 including lunch, a t-shirt, and a hat).

The Williamson County School Board met on Tuesday, Feb.

17, where Superintendent Jason Golden thanked speakers, discussed student safety and disability services, and mentioned the Screentime Committee and upcoming 2026-27 budget (no Student, Staff or School Spotlights were presented). The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 23.

Fifty-six WCS high school seniors were named National Merit Finalists, marking the eighth year more than 50 students have received the honor.
