  • Franklin’s Mr. Arts Coffee will close Saturday, March 28th after serving coffee, tea, matcha and breakfast items from 6 a.m. to noon at 595 Hillsboro Road since 2024. The shop celebrated many memories and expressed gratitude to the community (a local favorite) over the years.  Williamson County Source
  • Gabe’s discount store in Franklin will close on May 18 at 440 Cool Springs Blvd after nearly seven years of operation, and shoppers can enjoy deepening discounts until closing. Customers can still visit Gabe’s in Madison and Murfreesboro.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Williamson County Performing Arts Center and Parks and Recreation invite K–12 students to join the 'Red, White & You' Youth Art Contest for America’s 250th anniversary, with submissions due Friday, May 1; winners will be announced Friday, May 8 and selected art displayed at the center (112 Everbright Avenue) from June through August.  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Tennessee Department of Health released its February report on disciplinary actions for Middle Tennessee health professionals who faced fines and required education for issues such as practicing on expired licenses. Some cases involved practitioners in Franklin and nearby communities (details are on the state licensure portal).  Williamson County Source
