- ➤ One Generation Away hired three new leaders to boost food rescue efforts in Franklin amid rising food insecurity. The nonprofit announced a new Women’s History Month food event and will host its 13th annual spring fundraising breakfast at the Factory on May 1 with speaker Inky Johnson. Williamson County Source
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Fairview Elementary earned the 2024-25 Award of Excellence for Volunteerism and Service-Learning from Volunteer Tennessee and celebrated with a special banner at its March 20 meeting (FES Principal Dr. Michele Murray said the school is proud of its community service efforts). - ➤ WCS DECA students competed at the State Career Development Conference in Chattanooga Feb. 24-27, earning awards in several categories. Ravenwood High’s JP Kukulka became the school’s first DECA State officer, and the team is preparing to attend the International Career Development Conference later this year. Williamson County Source
