- ➤ Serrato’s new Roots Prime Italian Chophouse will open this summer at the former Old Chicago Pizza location on Cool Springs Boulevard. It will serve Italian-inspired dishes including prime steaks, fresh pasta, and seafood with a private dining room for special gatherings. Williamson County Source
- ➤ About 400 business leaders gathered on Tuesday, Mar. 31 at The Factory at Franklin’s Liberty Hall for an Outlook Williamson forum hosted by Williamson Inc. - ➤ Tennessee drivers with in-state plates can now claim up to $30 off parking as part of a program launched from a settlement with Metropolis Technologies (the deal included an $8.75 million payment). Discounts are available at participating spots while funds last. Williamson County Source
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Starting in June, WCS will offer academic summer workshops to help students prepare for future tests. The program includes a pass/fail ACT course ($25 fee) and shorter ACT and National Merit/SAT sessions available online and in-person. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Six Creekside Elementary fifth graders won state champion status at the 2026 Harry D. Sabine State Chess Tournament on March 21 after defeating the top-rated team among 14 teams from across the state. Williamson County Source

- ➤ The Franklin Police Department welcomed officer Kevin Jimenez on Thursday as Police Chief Deb Faulkner led his swearing-in with family and friends present (he is a John Overton High School graduate and former Army National Guard member) as he joins the department while it grows. - ➤ On March 26, officials and project applicants discussed converting the historic Riverview House at 151 Franklin Rd into a 120-room hotel with a day spa, restaurant, and parking garage — a plan that raised zoning issues and neighborhood concerns to be addressed at upcoming meetings. - ➤ Heights Wellness Retreat will open in July at Berry Farms Town Center and offer wellness services including massage therapy (with cryotherapy, infrared sauna, and red light therapy) to help residents build daily health routines. Williamson County Source
