Franklin’s Boy Scout Troop 16 honored four new Eagle Scouts—Benji Barry, Zachary Greathouse, Garrett McNeill and Peter Singletary—on Sunday, March 23rd at Epworth United Methodist Church on Arno Road, marking the Scouts’ community service projects that totaled over 475 man-hours.

Past Scoutmasters and local officials including State Senator Jack Johnson attended the ceremony.

MTE commissioned a new DC Fast Charger at its Franklin office at 2156 Edward Curd Lane, just off I-65 last month.

The charger (the third in the area after installations in Lebanon and Murfreesboro) uses technology from KEMPOWER with four satellites and eight ports to support EV travel along major highways.

Williamson County approved new business licenses from March 28 to April 4 for a range of local establishments including short term rentals, restaurants, salons and construction firms in Franklin, Spring Hill, Brentwood and Thompsons Station—indicating steady business growth in the area. On Thursday evening, the 21st District Recovery Court hosted its third annual singer-songwriter night at the Franklin Theatre with performances by Jessi Alexander, Jelly Roll and The Warren Brothers.

Vanderbilt bowlers Isabel Allen and Victoria Varano were named to the All-CUSA teams while Sydney Bohn earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team by Conference USA, recognizing their strong season results.

They will compete at the National Collegiate Bowling Championship at the Lansing Regional on Friday at 8:00 a.m. CT—joining other top teams in the competition.
