  • GraceWorks Ministries raised thousands at a benefit dinner on Thursday, April 16 at The Factory and announced plans to expand its space from 28,000 to 65,000 sqft with a six-acre land gift behind Christ Community Church in Williamson County.  Williamson Herald

BUSINESS NEWS

  • The Tennessee County Clerk released business licenses in Williamson County from April 13-20, including permits for painting, landscaping, construction, cleaning, and food services in Franklin and nearby towns + Nolensville, Fairview, and Brentwood saw new ventures.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Franklin Theatre was nominated for Theater of the Year at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards on April 13. The historic venue, built in 1937 and restored in 2011, continues to host acclaimed country, Americana, and bluegrass artists in downtown Franklin.  Williamson County Source
  • Studio Tenn announced its 17th season at the Turner Theater in The Factory at Franklin, featuring five productions from October through May. Season tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 28 (via studiotenn.com) and include Addams Family, It’s a Wonderful Life, Steel Magnolias, Ring of Fire and Something Rotten!  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • A new allergy tracker shows that spring allergens including juniper, maple, and elm are causing increased symptoms like sneezing and watery eyes in Williamson County, and health experts advise residents to start medications early and use nasal rinses to reduce discomfort.  Williamson County Source

  • Nashville SC beat Atlanta United FC 2-0 on Saturday, Apr. 18 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with Cristian Espinoza scoring his third MLS goal and Shak Mohammed netting his first on debut.
