  • Organizers of the 75th Franklin Rodeo Parade invite community groups, businesses, and individuals to register for the May 9 event in downtown Franklin. Entries must be ready by 11:30 a.m. at staging areas (including Jim Warren Park for horses) as road closures begin at 11 a.m.  Williamson Herald

CULTURE NEWS

  • Historic downtown Franklin hosts the annual Main Street Festival today through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Streets from 1st Avenue to 5th Avenue will be closed from Friday evening until Sunday evening to allow more than 120,000 guests to enjoy arts & culture.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On Tuesday, April 21, Freedom Middle School honored former MLB player Tony Kemp (a 2013 SEC Player of the Year) with a plaque. He was joined by his wife and daughters when the school marked Tony Kemp Day with a proclamation from Mayor Moore.  Williamson County Source
