  • Tourism Together Day: A Community Celebration will be held Wednesday, May 6 at Bicentennial Park from 4 PM to 6 PM. The event offers music by DJ Doug Griffin, food from Waldo’s Chicken and Beer, slushies and snowcones from Chillz on Wheelz (with a 1977 Volkswagen Bus photo booth) plus remarks by Visit Franklin CEO Maureen Thornton to mark the 10th anniversary of the Ambassador Program.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Father Ryan High School announced today that five graduating athletes from the class of 2026 have signed to play college sports, committing to programs in cheerleading, basketball, track, triathlon, and football. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Franklin Transit Authority is hosting an open house called Let’s Taco ‘Bout Transit on Tuesday, May 5 from noon + 4:30 p.m. at its Transit Center lobby on Columbia Ave where community members can review draft Transit Master Plan recommendations while enjoying a free taco bar from Moe’s Catering.  Williamson County Source

  • The Titans finalized their 2026 NFL Draft picks including wide receiver Carnell Tate from Ohio State and edge rusher Keldric Faulk from Auburn, with analysts noting Tate’s high grade + that the new selections should support QB Cam Ward and coach Saleh’s plans.  Williamson County Source
