  • Williamson County CASA’s annual Voices for Children fundraiser will take place on Thursday, May 7 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Historic Franklin Theatre (419 Main St), featuring live music from Nashville’s Matt Maeson and a live auction to support nearly 400 children who have experienced abuse or neglect.  Williamson County Source
  • The Williamson County Master Gardeners Association is hosting its Spring Garden Festival and Plant Sale Saturday, May 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Williamson County Ag Expo Park (4215 Long Lane in Franklin) with free admission, gardening, food vendors, and activities for families.  Williamson County Source

  • Franklin’s Bound Booksellers announced it will move to the Factory at Franklin this summer and offer twice the space for workshops, events, and books — the Westhaven store will remain open through June until the new location is ready.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Country Music Hall of Fame is now showing the Clint Black: The Hard Way On Purpose exhibit that traces the singer’s journey from a working-class start to chart-topper. The exhibit is included with museum admission and will run until August 2027.  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • Williamson County food service locations earned perfect 100 health scores from inspections conducted from April 22–29, 2026, including sites in Franklin and Brentwood. The Department of Health requires that each establishment post its latest inspection report in a visible area.  Williamson County Source
  • The Tennessee Department of Health is urging residents to take tick bite precautions while enjoying Franklin area parks this spring; officials advise using insect repellent and doing a tick check after outdoor activities (to help prevent tick-borne illnesses).  Williamson County Source
  • The local health department reported that several food service establishments in Williamson County posted their lowest health scores from inspections April 22-29, with Holiday Inn Continental Breakfast and Penn Station Subs among those affected. Inspection reports are available for review at county health department locations.  Williamson County Source
  • Dr. Heather Rupe (Women’s Group expert) urged local women to start folic acid before pregnancy and seek preconception counseling to lower birth risks while managing postpartum and menopausal symptoms.
