- ➤ The historic Hayes House at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm will offer free public tours starting Tuesday, May 6 from 12 to 2 p.m. The restored farmhouse—preserving Franklin’s agricultural legacy—and the adjacent lawn will also host community events and local art exhibits. Williamson County Source
- ➤ On Wednesday morning, Franklin Police officers escorted World War II veterans and JROTC students from a Cool Springs hotel to Nashville International Airport for a trip to New Orleans to visit the National WWII Museum. The journey was organized by the Gary Sinise Foundation and American Airlines using a chartered flight, and officers Domenico Buffa, Joe LeCates and Sullivan Tuck shared breakfast with the group beforehand — a gesture honoring those who served. - ➤ The Arrington Farmers Market at Delvin Farms will return on May 7 with events held every Wednesday from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. through October 29 (located on Cox Patton Road across from Arrington Vineyards) featuring over 25 rotating vendors (including returning favorites and new additions) offering farm-to-table gourmet foods and fresh local dishes. - ➤ More than 30 students from local high schools earned perfect composite scores on the ACT exam in March — with one student achieving perfect scores in every subject — and school principals praised the students for their strong preparation and hard work. - ➤ Page Middle School in Franklin presents Seussical Jr. that opens today at 7 p.m. and runs until May 10. Tickets cost between $14.70 and $17.82 (purchased online). Williamson County Source
- ➤ TSA students from Legacy Middle, Franklin High, Nolensville High and Page High won many first-place awards at the State Leadership Conference held April 2 to 5. They now prepare for the National Conference in Nashville from June 27 to July 1 — where they will compete nationally — showing their strong skills in technology and leadership. - ➤ Valentina Jarpa-Sarmiento, a senior at Independence High School, was awarded the 2025 Youth Leadership Franklin Alumni Scholarship for her leadership in the YLF program. She was honored at the graduation ceremony on April 27 at the Williamson County Enrichment Center — and she will attend Belmont University this fall to study Politics and Public Law.
