United Communications is expanding its fiber-optic network (a long-term upgrade) across Middle Tennessee to bring reliable broadband to homes, schools and businesses, with more neighborhoods expecting enhanced connectivity soon.

Local ice cream shop Sweethaven will open its third location in Brentwood at CityPark on Franklin Road next to Taziki’s in June.

The shop plans to offer a rotating menu of 16 flavors plus gluten-free options and seasonal cookie classes.

The 40th Tennessee Renaissance Festival welcomed record crowds last weekend with 19,000 tickets sold and a 66% increase over last year.
