💼 Business
Live Nation acquired Franklin's FirstBank Amphitheater for $23.49 million.
The 7,500-seat outdoor venue built on a 150-acre site along Interstate 65 by Rick and Nancy McEachern will continue operating with all full-time employees retained.
Dog Haus is set to open a new Franklin location at 755 Crescent Centre Drive, Suite 104 on Thursday, May 14.
The restaurant will hold a grand opening celebration benefitting Centennial High School Athletics (coupon redemptions will run May 14–17 with additional offers May 18–22).
Mountain Mike’s Pizza, known for large pies, will open its first Tennessee location this summer in Nolensville (7344 Nolensville Rd).
Franchisees Jordan and Jerry Nari and Gary and Sandra Mitchell will offer a family-friendly space with an all-you-can-eat pizza and salad bar, arcade games and TVs for game days.

Today at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts a sold-out induction ceremony for the Musicians Hall of Fame ninth class honored honorees such as Dolly Parton and Dann Huff.

Julia Culp of Freedom Middle School was named Music Teacher of Excellence by the CMA Foundation; she will receive $5,000 when the awards ceremony is held Oct.
7 at The Pinnacle in Nashville. Culp expanded her music programs from 25 to 95 students (improving instrument access).
