- ➤ Harpeth Conservancy held its third annual Songwriters for Streams event on April 27 at Libby and Nick Sieveking’s family farm—over 350 community members, music lovers and conservation supporters joined live music performances that raised nearly $45,000 for clean water efforts. - ➤ Residents watched a parade in downtown Franklin on May 10 to start rodeo week — country artist Clay Walker served as grand marshal. The Franklin Rodeo will begin on May 14 with the Down in the Dirt Free Kick-off Party from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will continue with events from May 15 to May 17 at the AG EXPO Center on Long Ln. - ➤ This week live shows will light up Nashville and Franklin as Billy Idol—joining Joan Jett at Bridgestone Arena on May 17, Tracy Lawrence at Ryman Auditorium on May 18, and Napalm Death at Brooklyn Bowl on May 17—are joined by Gavin Adcock’s tour kickoff at The Pinnacle over May 16-17, Rosanne Cash at the Country Music Hall of Fame on May 13, and a Songwriter Series at Franklin Theatre on May 15. - ➤ Local Spring Hill resident Brittain Edison will appear on FOX’s LEGO Masters on Monday, May 19 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) as part of the show’s fifth season hosted by Will Arnett. Edison and her sister are the first sister team on the series and will face brick-building challenges such as a masquerade party and a colossal wedding cake build to win a $100,000 prize and a LEGO trophy.
