COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Friends of Franklin Parks has scheduled the 14th annual Raise the Roofs event for Saturday, August 16 at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated Main Barn. A twilight polo match will be held on Friday, August 15 and the main event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with live music, dining, and other festivities supporting local park improvements.  Williamson County Source

  • United Communications has launched broadband labels that work like a nutrition label for internet plans—helping customers compare speeds, prices and fees with clear details. The labels list download and upload speeds, extra costs and data limits to ensure informed decisions.  Williamson County Source
  • Flying Cow—a skincare brand using tallow-based products—plans to open its first Tennessee storefront on Main Street in downtown Franklin as a 'coming soon' sign is displayed at 416 Main Street. Founded in Texas in 2017 by Britney Arceneaux, the brand hopes to open by the end of summer.  Williamson County Source
  • Char Restaurant is set to expand into Franklin inside the Canteen on Carothers, opening in early 2026 with a 6,500-square-foot space that offers an outdoor patio, private dining room, and seating for more than 200 guests—featuring nightly piano music and a jazz trio on Sunday brunch. The move by 4Top Hospitality will create about 50 new jobs in the area—marking the brand’s 16th restaurant overall.  Williamson County Source
