- ➤ Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC) added a Spanish page to its website to provide translated forms and information for pet adoptions, vaccinations, and other services. The page was developed with help from the Tennessee Language Center and the Language Collaborative for County Officials to better serve all residents. Williamson County Source
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Williamson County Fire/Rescue and Franklin Fire units responded at 12:40 p.m. on May 25 to a heavy rear house fire in the Redwing Farms neighborhood (just outside Franklin) and fought the blaze for several hours as the homeowner safely evacuated (fire investigators said the fire started accidentally on the back deck). EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Battle Ground Academy held its 136th Commencement on May 18, celebrating 93 graduates. Valedictorian Anna Sgarbi will attend Tufts University and salutatorian Ann Gentry Lambert will go to Vanderbilt University — the class earned more than $13.1 million in scholarship offers and many students were accepted to their top college choices.
