- ➤ On Saturday, May 31, the community will enjoy the grand opening of the Carousel of Dreams—a handcrafted carousel by Ken Means—at The Factory at Franklin with rides starting at 10 a.m. and festivities running from 1 to 4 p.m.; proceeds will benefit Williamson County charities and shuttle service from Liberty Elementary is available. - ➤ Franklin Pride returns for its 5th anniversary festival on June 7th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Harlinsdale Farm, offering a free, family-friendly event with nearly 10,000 expected attendees and a headlining performance by Gwen Levey and the Breakdown — along with nearly 120 vendors and increased security by Franklin Police. - ➤ U.S. News released a study analyzing online searches in the first quarter that showed Tennessee ranked second among states people want to move to. The study noted top Tennessee cities were Knoxville, Franklin + Chattanooga. Williamson County Source

- ➤ United Communications, Middle Tennessee’s leading fiber internet provider, will award $40K in scholarships to five local high school graduates chosen for their outstanding character, academic success, and community involvement—each recipient will receive $8K over four years to support college tuition or career training. - ➤ Tennesseans for Quality Early Education has opened nominations for the 2025 Tennessee Early Educator Awards to honor outstanding early childhood educators. The awards will recognize 10 teachers statewide with cash prizes, a shopping spree, a trip to Nashville, and other gifts (nominations are open through June 6 at noon Central Time) and winners will be announced in the fall. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Food establishments in Williamson County earned perfect health inspection scores of 100 during inspections from May 20–27, and several Franklin locations received top marks. The Department of Health inspects each facility twice a year + works to keep food safe. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Williamson County recorded its lowest food inspection scores from May 20 to 27, 2025, with establishments in Franklin, Nolensville, and Brentwood—such as 1799 Kitchen and Bar Room and Southall venues—receiving the lowest marks.
