  • Today, Franklin hosts Movies in the Park at Pinkerton Park with a free showing of Wreck-It Ralph at 8 pm. This weekend, many events feature the Carousel of Dreams at The Factory, Summer Reading Kickoff at county libraries, Tennessee Renaissance Festival in Arrington, and Music City Rodeo in Nashville.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Norm Lewis will headline Studio Tenn's One Night Only: Summer Starlight Serenade (a fundraising gala) at Liberty Hall at The Factory at Franklin on Saturday, June 27. Community leaders Matt and Julie Brown chair the event featuring a cocktail hour, dinner and live performances to support local theatre.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Local officials met Tuesday, May 26 to hear an SBA specialist explain disaster relief loans (up to $500K for homes and $2M for businesses) for Winter Storm Fern damage. Williamson County Schools also updated that its new Entrepreneurship and Innovation Campus near Franklin High School is set to open in August with strong enrollment.  Williamson Herald
  • Franklin and Centennial high schools held graduation ceremonies in heavy rain on May 21, sparking viral videos that reached local and international viewers.
