COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Franklin will host its annual Fourth of July celebration at Tractor Supply Co. Arena at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm on Friday, Jul. 4, with live music, a kids area, food vendors and fireworks by WAKM beginning around 9 p.m.  Williamson County Source

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Southern Land Company announced its new in-house mortgage division, SLC Lending, that will offer a streamlined financing process for homebuyers. The service will launch in core markets including Franklin projects (Westhaven and LaurelBrooke) and expand into other regions.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Franklin Fire Department and Williamson County Schools Innovation Center celebrated the state's first high school fire management program on May 20 in Franklin. Twelve students (from eight local high schools) met TN Firefighter I standards through classroom and hands-on training, and three will begin internships with the department next week.  Williamson County Source
  • Franklin High’s Henry Hammett received a $1250 scholarship from Keep Tennessee Beautiful today. The award is part of the Three Grand Divisions Scholarship program honoring seniors for community service and academic achievements as he prepares to study Journalism and Electronic Media at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • Williamson Medical Center received a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for 2026 as part of its continuing commitment to quality patient care. It is one of six such hospitals in Tennessee (one of only 384 nationwide) that achieved this distinction.  Williamson County Source
