- ➤ Williamson County Animal Hospital held a ribbon cutting on May 14 to mark its 50th anniversary at 1126 Murfreesboro Rd in Franklin — the facility has provided walk-in pet care since 1975. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Harpeth Hotel in downtown Franklin is letting all 2025 graduates enjoy a free entrée with the purchase of any regular meal at McGavock’s or 1799 until June 14—available for Sunday brunch or dinner at 1799 and for breakfast or lunch at McGavock’s. Williamson County Source
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Williamson County processed new business licenses from May 23 to May 30 for several local establishments—these include a med spa, bar, hair salon, artwork and coffee venue, and a post divorce coaching service in Franklin and Brentwood. The licenses were issued by the Tennessee County Clerk and reflect growing local business activity. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Southall Farm & Inn in Franklin will take over operations of Nashville restaurant Audrey as Sam Jett becomes the new chef while founding chef Sean Brock focuses on his other projects. - ➤ A ribbon cutting was held on May 30 for the Carousel of Dreams at The Factory, and the free event opens today with carousel rides starting at 10 a.m.—Ken Means, who spent 30 years handcrafting each animal, joined community leaders to mark the celebration that features fun activities and booths for local nonprofits. - ➤ Columbia State Community College announced Dr. Shane Hall as the new vice president for the Williamson Campus and community engagement. He will lead the division that handles policy development and enrollment management — and he will work with local businesses and community groups to support the college’s mission. - ➤ On May 22, Ravenwood High held its fourth annual White Coat Ceremony for its Biomedical Science Program. The event marked the completion of a challenging pathway that prepares students for advanced studies — and future careers in medicine. Williamson County Source

- ➤ Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will host its inaugural Tennessee Biodiversity Summit on Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Middle Tennessee State University, where eight dynamic speakers will discuss local habitats and conservation efforts—featuring the updated State Wildlife Action Plan and educational booths for wildlife enthusiasts and experts.
