Charlie Hatcher recounted his family's history and the legacy of Hatcher Family Dairy at a July 9 luncheon (held at High Hopes Preschool and Pediatric Therapy) in Franklin.
He described his ancestors from the Arno community and explained how robotic milking technology improved dairy operations.
🎭 Culture
Today, a new Photo of the Day series highlights local landmarks and community events, featuring a CMA Fest 2026 concert at Nashville’s 3rd and Lindsley that raised $45,000 for Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital.
The project (courtesy of Country for a Cause) also invites community members to submit their own photos.
🎓 Education
Jason’s Deli is fulfilling 50 teacher wish lists for the upcoming school year by partnering with Dr Pepper to invest $25,000 in classroom supplies.
Nominations close July 27 and selected educators will receive their gift lists by July 30.
🏛️ Government
Franklin Fire Lieutenant Steve Raymer retires at the end of July after a 44-year career, including 25 years in Franklin.
A celebration is scheduled for Thursday, July 30 at 2:30 p.m. at Franklin Fire Station 7 (John Fitzgerald Drive) as he plans to travel and work on home projects.
