  • Perenn Bakery has opened a new location in South Nashville at 2934 Sidco Drive in Berry Hill where guests can watch the baking process and enjoy coffee, breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The space also serves as a production hub for Perenn Franklin and will supply fresh baked goods to local restaurants and retailers — continuing the owners’ expansion since May.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Westhaven Porchfest will be held at Westhaven Foundation Park in Franklin on Sept. 20th from 12 pm to 5 pm with free porch concerts that celebrate local music. A night concert at 7 pm at Magli Green in Westhaven Town Center with Monsters of Yacht + The Deltaz featuring special guest Ben Calhoun will follow, and tickets are sold separately + online.  Williamson County Source
  • Today, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum hosted a program featuring songwriter Dennis Morgan for its Poets and Prophets series; the event included photos, film, and recordings and was led by museum writer-editor Allison Moorer. Morgan, known for writing over 20 number-one singles, shared insights from his long career in country music.  Williamson County Source

  • FrankTalks is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Columbia State College - Williamson County campus (1228 Liberty Pike), where superintendent Jason Golden and his team will present an update on the education outlook and upcoming plans for the 2025 school year after a 30-minute coffee social starting at 9 a.m.  Williamson Herald
