- ➤ Franklin Police Department detectives are searching for two men who broke into several vehicles on July 31 on the 700 block of W. Meade Blvd and stole a 2012 Hyundai Elantra that was later found abandoned in Cool Springs on August 5 — anyone with information is urged to contact the department. Williamson County Source

- ➤ Franklin Tomorrow’s FrankTalks is set for Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Columbia State College Williamson County campus—1228 Liberty Pike in the administration building—where superintendent Jason Golden and his team will update on Williamson County Schools and the start of the 2025 school year after a 30-minute coffee social at 9 a.m. followed by an hour-long program beginning at 9:30 a.m. Williamson Herald

- ➤ The Cumberland River Compact in partnership with the City of Franklin will host a River Walk & Talk at Pinkerton Park this Saturday between 9 and 11 a.m. +near the trail to Fort Granger+ . Staff will explain a stream restoration project on Ralston Branch +aka North Ewingville Creek+ that began last month to fix eroded banks, plant native vegetation, and improve water quality for the Harpeth River.
