Expo Park in Franklin — with special presale hours for volunteers, shift workers, consignors, and heroes, and shoppers can find quality clothing, shoes, and gear at discounted prices.

Today, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille celebrates National Pork Chop Day with a 4 for $44 menu while hosting the local Photo of the Day event that invites community members to submit images (with a brief description) showcasing Williamson County sights.

Fans gathered outside Dolly Parton’s Brentwood home after news of her passing Tuesday morning, leaving flowers and notes to honor her music legacy + a bus of Williamson County students drove by showing their heartfelt tribute.

Franklin High School has released a children’s book featuring student art and text co-written by visual arts teacher Rachel Berzina and Assistant Principal Toby Ruth.

Copies cost $25 and proceeds help support the school’s visual arts program.

US News and World Report (Tuesday, Aug.

18) ranked Williamson County high schools among the best statewide, with Franklin High rated tenth and Brentwood High sixth. All 11 schools finished in the top 70 of 496 statewide.

Williamson County health inspectors reviewed food service, school, and pool facilities from August 19 to 26.

The scores are posted for public view & any safety concerns should be reported through the proper hotline.

The Brentwood sushi restaurant scored 73 in its inspection from Aug.

19 to Aug. 26 after inspectors found 13 violations such as improper food storage and unclean conditions — a follow-up inspection is planned.

Williamson County Schools recognized four coaches as TSSAA Coaches of the Year.

Luke Finley from Independence High, James Eikhoff and Dana Fasano from Page High, and Summit High’s Warne Riker were honored after their teams won state titles in late 2025.
