Slim & Husky's officially opened today at The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Road, after a soft opening over the Labor Day weekend, and customers can now order artisan pizzas online between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. A ribbon-cutting event will be held on September 12 and the restaurant occupies the former Five Daughters space next to Jeni's Ice Cream.

A former nurse working at a Franklin nursing home was arrested on September 5 for impersonating a licensed professional and fraudulently obtaining controlled substances—she continued working after surrendering her license, according to the TBI investigation.

Several artists are releasing new music this week; Noah Hicks will debut his project Small Town Does on October 10 via Nashville Harbor Records while Lanie Gardner releases her album Faded Polaroids today.
