  • The Franklin Police Department invites locals to join officers for National Coffee with a Cop Day tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at White Bison Coffee — 5060 Carothers Pkwy in Franklin — for a free cup of coffee and open conversation.  Williamson County Source
  • The African American Heritage Society of Williamson County will host its 2nd Annual Pumpkins on the Porch event on Saturday, October 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Harvey McLemore House Museum, where families will enjoy free guided tours, pumpkin sales, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and doughnuts - local historians and authors will also be present to meet guests.  Williamson County Source

  • Four finalists from across the country will compete at Hardee’s Biscuit Baker Competition in Franklin—on Oct. 16 they will vie for the national title and a $10,000 prize. They advanced from local contests by mastering Hardee’s Made from Scratch biscuit-making process.  Williamson County Source
  • Nashville bagel shop Ugly Bagel announced that its second location will open soon in Franklin at 2000 Merridian Boulevard, Suite 100, next to Little Hats plus Handel's Ice Cream. The new shop will serve customers from 7 am to 3 pm while the exact opening date remains unknown.  Williamson County Source

ECONOMY NEWS

  • AAA reported that gas prices in Tennessee fell by four cents last week, lowering the state average to $2.73 per gallon—cheaper winter-blend gasoline and lower fall demand helped trigger the drop. The survey noted that Memphis had the highest price at $2.79 while Chattanooga's price was the lowest at $2.62.  Williamson County Source

  • Williamson Health Medical Group announced the addition of six board-certified primary care providers to serve patients at clinics in Cool Springs, Franklin and Nolensville—bringing expertise in internal medicine, family health and women's care.  Williamson County Source
