  • Williamson County African American Veterans Foundation announced its first-ever awards for veteran excellence — naming Mayor Rogers Anderson, L Col Wanda Bruce Graham, Mr. Calvin LeHew, and Tractor Supply Company. An awards dinner will be held on November 6 at New Hope Academy in Franklin from 5:30 — 8:00 p.m. with tickets at $150 and table sponsorships at $1,500.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Ethel Cain will make a stop at FirstBank Amphitheater on May 1 as part of her 2026 North American tour that also features hometown dates and stops across the Midwest and Southeast — the tour uses Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange and AXS Official Resale so fans can buy tickets at face value while one dollar per ticket goes to trans-serving organizations.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Father Ryan School announced that 10 students earned National Merit honors for 2025, with 6 Semi-Finalists and 4 Commended Scholars including senior Savannah Nimitz. Principal Francisco M. Espinosa, Jr.—who praised the students for their hard work—said the honor shows the school’s strong academics as final scholarship statuses will be announced in the spring.  Williamson County Source

  • Deer Run’s Mother-Son Fall Date will be held November 2nd from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Deer Run Camps & Retreat Center (3845 Perkins Road, Thompson’s Station) where mothers and sons will enjoy a picnic lunch, campfire, and outdoor activities to celebrate autumn.  Williamson County Source
