- ➤ Country music icon Vince Gill signed a lifetime record deal with MCA — he will release a new EP each month for the next year, and his first EP titled 50 Years From Home: I Gave You Everything I Had was released on October 17. Williamson County Source
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Eligible Tennessee families with a child age 14 or younger can get up to $1,500 in matching funds for college savings through the TIPS program. The Tennessee Department of Treasury said that when families deposit money in a TNStars 529 account by June 30 the state will match every dollar up to the cap—families are encouraged to apply if they meet income requirements. - ➤ Between Sept 22 and Sept 26, Williamson County recorded 25 high-value property transfers — including sales in Franklin, Brentwood and nearby communities — with the top sale reaching $8,521,458.
