GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Williamson Inc.'s Policy Talks series returns on Oct. 31 at Columbia State Community College’s Williamson Campus where Commissioner Mark Ezell and Visit Franklin President Maureen Thornton will explain how tourism helps Tennessee's economy. Coffee and networking start at 7:30 a.m.—the discussion begins at 8 a.m. in the Community Room of Building A with a live stream on YouTube and broadcast on WAKM 950AM.  Williamson Herald

SPORTS NEWS

  • On October 26th, the Predators lost 3-2 to the Stars at Bridgestone Arena after taking a 2-0 lead—Dallas’ goalie Casey DeSmith made 23 key saves to secure the finish. The loss marked Nashville’s fourth defeat of the season, bringing their record to 4-4-2 while Dallas improved to 5-3-1.  Williamson County Source
  • On October 26th the Titans fell 38-14 to the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, dropping to a 1-7 record while the Colts improved to 7-1. The Colts dominated the game—Daniel Jones threw three touchdown passes and Jonathan Taylor rushed for two touchdowns—showing a strong performance this season.  Williamson County Source
