- ➤ The Franklin Police Department has launched its annual Holiday Toy Drive at Police Headquarters at 900 Columbia Ave, where residents may drop off new, unwrapped toys Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until December 18—this drive honors the memory of Kristi Clark, her son Carter Oakley, and Brad Lewis for their acts of kindness. - ➤ The Franklin Fire Department is kicking off its 18th Annual Toy and Clothing Drive to bring coats, clothes, shoes and toys to children in need in the community—residents may drop off gifts at any Franklin Fire station or at Macy’s in CoolSprings Galleria until December 1. Williamson Herald
- ➤ Local businessman Chuck McDowell and his wife Jo Ellen donated $100K to help OneGenAway expand emergency food assistance across Middle Tennessee and launched a matching challenge that will double community donations until Dec. 31. - ➤ AAA warned Tennessee drivers to be careful of slick roads, fog, shorter days and increased deer activity this fall — the organization urged slowing down and proper use of headlights at dawn and dusk to reduce the risk of collisions. - ➤ The lowest food health scores in Williamson County were recorded from October 29 to November 5, with Chill Spot in Brentwood — scoring 70 and Lemongrass Sushi and Thai scoring 74.
