- ➤ In June 2023 a severe storm in Franklin caused a tree to fall on Gianna’s home, damaging the chimneys, front porch, and roof; Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury worked with the City of Franklin and local partners (Layson Building, Inc., Above All Roofing, and Southern Outdoor Finishes) to restore her home (using its Critical Repair Program) and ensure its safety. - ➤ Franklin’s Fruit Tea, a fast-growing artisan beverage brand known for its bold Southern flavors, was awarded $50,000 at a national pitch competition created by Pharrell Williams (from over 2,500 applicants) on November 14 in Miami. Co-founded by Mylikia and Germayle Franklin, the company will use the funds to expand production and distribution (through select Kroger stores and local markets). Williamson County Source
- ➤ Williamson County released new business licenses for local companies from November 14th through November 21st according to the county clerk — the list includes firms such as Birdsong Bakery, Candid Painting, and Taqueria La Casita located in Franklin. Williamson County Source
- ➤ CFO Dr. Kelly Bair earned her CPA license—reinforcing her role in guiding The TMA Group's financial operations in Franklin. Her new credential strengthens the company’s ability to provide sustainable transportation solutions across Middle Tennessee. Williamson Herald

- ➤ Studio Tenn held a sold-out cabaret called "Pink Goes Good with Green" that brought Broadway flair to Franklin at the Turner Theater on November 8—'Wicked' alums Carrie St. Louis and Teal Wicks performed and raised $20,727 as donations are being matched up to $50,000. Studio Tenn will present its holiday show White Christmas on December 4 to support its theater programs. Williamson County Source

- ➤ Franklin’s Assistant Director for Development Services Alex Brown graduated as a member of the 22nd class at the UT Center for Industrial Services’ Tennessee Certified Economic Developer Program — raising the total to 144 certified developers. - ➤ Tennessee high school football playoffs continued Friday night with Division I quarterfinal games and Division II semifinal matches played across local counties such as Davidson and Rutherford.
