  • The team behind Pinewood Social launched Pinewood Coffee Co in Franklin and roasts its beans at Monarch Showroom, offering coffee from Costa Rica’s Hacienda La Minita—an estate known for on-site housing, free daycare, and healthcare for workers—and will share more details soon.  Williamson County Source
  • Paul Morris, a Franklin resident and owner of Blade Runner, is offering a mobile knife sharpening service that comes directly to homes using online, call, or text scheduling. The service sharpens kitchen knives, pocket knives, household shears, mower blades, and yard tools—while urging customers to handle their new, sharp blades with care.  Williamson County Source

FINANCE NEWS

  • The Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System closed the fiscal year 2025 with a 10.2% return—well above the 6.75% assumed rate—and added $5.3 billion to reach a portfolio value of $74.9 billion as of June 30. The plan, which serves over 400,000 state employees and retirees, paid $3.4 billion in benefits to nearly 165,000 recipients.  Williamson County Source
