  • Happy Backyards invites Franklin families to discover play equipment that fosters outdoor play and builds lasting bonds among children. Visitors can explore multi-sport courts and trampolines at the Cool Springs Galleria showroom (near Belk Outlet Store) Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Williamson County Source
  • The Franklin Christmas Parade, a 30-year tradition, takes place Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. downtown. Arrivals are advised by noon so that live commentary by former TV personalities Nikki Burdine & Neil Orne and Grand Marshal Alma McLemore can be enjoyed rain or shine.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Dr. Mary Decker, associate director at Franklin Special District, was named a national finalist for the 2026 Women in School Leadership Award; she is one of two finalists nationwide (Central Office/Principal category) and will be honored at the AASA National Conference on Education in Nashville from Feb. 12 to 14.  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • According to the latest report, several Williamson County food service venues earned perfect 100 scores after inspections completed Nov. 19 to Nov. 26 in Franklin, Brentwood and Spring Hill + health department regulations require venues to post these reports publicly.  Williamson County Source
  • Williamson County’s Department of Health released recent inspection scores from November 26 to December 3 — covering restaurants, pools and food service spots in Franklin and Brentwood. The scores are posted for public view at local health departments.  Williamson County Source
  • Vanderbilt Health will soon open a renovated outpatient clinic at the former AT&T data center at 402 Franklin Road in Brentwood. The facility will offer cancer treatment, heart care, orthopedics, sports medicine, and pediatric services to serve Williamson County families.  Williamson County Source
