  • The Downtown Franklin Rotary Club hosted the annual Franklin Christmas Parade on Dec. 6 along Main Street with Alma McLemore serving as Grand Marshal while the event honored military + first responders under the theme 'I’ll Be Home for Christmas.'  Williamson County Source
  • Families can enjoy local holiday events this season, including the FrankTown Festival of Lights at Williamson County Agricultural Center in Franklin (5 to 9 p.m. nightly through Dec. 31) and a free drive-through display in Murfreesboro on select weekends.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Vanderbilt Health got approval to launch a new Primary Care-Internal Medicine Residency Program at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon. The three-year program (approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) will welcome its first residents in July 2026 and train eight new physicians each year.  Williamson County Source
