HOT CHOCOLATE the Park with Friends of Shelby – November 2026

About this event

This is a SPECIAL EVENT to encourage all ages bike riding, get to meet other bike riders in the area, and enjoy some tasty beverages. We’ll have hot chocolate and treats to share.

You can show up starting at 1:30/1:45pm for a bike inspection and hang out. We’ll provide a safety overview and inflate tires. We will roll out at 2:15pm.

THIS EDITION OF THE PEDAL THE PARK RIDE WILL BEGIN AT CORNELIA FORT AIRPARK ON SHADOW LANE.

We will roll as a large all-ages group, then adults/older youth riders will split off for a guided ride on the back end of the greenway. Games for all ages will be held at the park entrance after the rides!

Has it been a while since you last biked? Want to join but haven’t got your own bike? We will have an assortment of youth and adult sizes available at the event! Bikes are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.

Ride requirements & requests

If you feel sick, stay home!

We ride as a group to support new and returning bicycle riders – no rider left behind. If you are a more experienced bike rider, you are welcome to come and help other riders build their riding confidence and skills!

Adhere to all greenway trail etiquette (ride on right, signal when passing, stay under 15MPH, slow down around walkers).

There is no charge for this ride, but donations to Bike Fun or Friends of Shelby are gratefully accepted.
