If you've dropped off donations at GraceWorks Ministries, you'll find more room. The Franklin nonprofit held a ribbon-cutting Thursday, Oct. 29, for its expanded thrift store at 104 Southeast Parkway.
CEO Alicia Bell called it “an answered prayer.” Turning away some donations for lack of space pushed the expansion, she said. Shoppers will find new categories like outdoor furniture, tools, arts and crafts and children's toys.
- Food pantry: Wednesday evenings, 3:30 to 6 p.m., a first
- Parking: 40 new spaces behind the building
- Flex area: 100 seats for meetings, speakers and volunteers
- Donation drop-off: Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The space is temporary. GraceWorks could eventually move to The Banks at Brownland if Franklin and county officials approve it, and developer BLVD Capital has offered to donate six acres for a permanent home.
