COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Heritage Foundation will host a 2024 Year in Review event at 6 p.m. on March 27 at The Franklin Theatre—419 Main Street—where community members will view a short presentation of past successes and future plans.  Williamson County Source

BUSINESS NEWS

  • The popular chicken restaurant Popeyes will open soon at the CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin. This will be its first Franklin location as the chain expands from its Nolensville Pike store in Nashville.  Williamson County Source

CRIME NEWS

  • The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents for help in locating 17-year-old Jordan H. Tarpy, who has been missing since March 7 after reportedly running away from Nolensville—info should be reported by calling 911 or 615-790-5550.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Studio Tenn will mark 15 seasons of theatre with its One Night Only event on April 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Liberty Hall in The Factory at Franklin — Broadway star Jessie Mueller will perform in special shows and help raise funds for future programs.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • High Hopes Preschool and Pediatric Therapy Clinic hired former board member Kristina Bachman as Senior Director of Development on March 10—she will lead major gifts and donor engagement initiatives to support the clinic’s mission.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City and its Board will break ground at the Pearlene M. Bransford Complex on March 26 at 11:30 a.m. at 3452 Carothers Parkway—this new park on the southeast side will feature football and lacrosse fields, an inclusive playground named Ellie G’s Dream World, an ADA-accessible riverwalk, and restrooms, with future phases adding more sports facilities.  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Department of Health inspected food service spots in Williamson County from March 11th to 18th and found that Bawarchi Biryani Point in Franklin, Mexicali Grill and Shogun in Brentwood, Sunny China in Spring Hill, and Chuy’s Restaurant in Franklin earned the lowest scores — these reports are required to be displayed for local review.  Williamson County Source
  • Health department inspectors released the latest scores for public swimming pools in Williamson County from March 11 to March 18. The report lists scores for sites in Franklin, Brentwood and Thompson’s Station as part of routine inspections to maintain public safety.  Williamson County Source

SPORTS NEWS

  • Nashville Soccer Club announced its 2025 youth soccer camp series, with sessions planned in May, June, and July for boys and girls ages six to 18. The camps will offer nine full-day sessions at TOCA Nashville in Franklin for beginner to intermediate players—four half-day sessions at Currey Ingram Academy for more advanced players will provide specialized coaching.  Williamson County Source
