  • Warren Bradley Partners has released a list—featuring top events like the Main Street Festival in downtown Franklin on April 26–27 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival in Arrington on select May dates—of family-friendly spring activities in Williamson County. CRIME NEWS

  • The Williamson County Sheriff's Office warned parents and teens about a rise in sextortion cases, noting that predators use social media and messaging apps to trick youth into sending explicit images and then use threats or extortion, and urged anyone targeted to call (1-615-790-5550).  Williamson County Source
  • Fugitive serial robbery suspect Alex Currithers, 29, was arrested last week at a strip mall in the 3600 block of Bell Road — officers recovered his black Jeep and drugs including cocaine, fentanyl and meth, and he admitted to armed robberies in Nashville on March 10, 12 and 17.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Mattie Pruitt, a 15-year-old student from Eagleville, recently auditioned on American Idol with friend and country music artist Craig Campbell (a former keyboardist for Luke Bryan) as she performed Jessie Murph’s 'How Could You.' The judges were impressed and Carrie Underwood predicted her success as she received a golden ticket to Hollywood Week.  Williamson County Source
  • Today, the Photo of the Day features Zeds Dead performing at The Pinnacle in front of a sold-out crowd as captured by Carly Squires—this series highlights local scenes and invites residents to submit their own photos.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Williamson, Inc.'s Policy Talks series will hold a panel discussion on Friday, March 28 at Columbia State Community College's Williamson Campus with coffee and networking starting at 7:30 a.m. and an 8 a.m. program moderated by Dave Crouch that will cover topics such as the governor’s amended budget proposal, education funding and infrastructure changes — the event will be live streamed on YouTube and broadcast on WAKM 950AM — drawing local business leaders to join the discussion.  Williamson Herald

HEALTH NEWS

  • Today, the Tennessee Department of Health confirmed the state's first measles case in 2025 in a middle Tennessee resident who was infected in early March and is recovering at home. Public health officials are investigating the likely source of infection — they are also tracking possible exposures to prevent further spread.  Williamson County Source
  • Williamson County health inspectors released scores for food service, hotel, and swimming pool facilities inspected from March 18th–25th. Establishments must post these reports for public review at local county health department offices.  Williamson County Source
