- ➤ This weekend in Williamson County — five events are scheduled: Fairview’s Recreation Complex hosts an adults-only Skate Night, Heritage Church features an Easter Egg Helicopter Drop, Brentwood celebrates Arbor Day at John P. - ➤ A rock concert featuring Godsmack with Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy will take place on May 19 at 7:00 p.m. at FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin (the outdoor venue at Graystone Quarry operates from May to October). Williamson County Source
- ➤ Hunter Hayes launches his Evergreen Tour on Thursday, Apr. 23 at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, performing songs from his new album with supporting acts Franklin Jonas + BLÜ EYES. Williamson County Source
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ravenwood High School named Dr. Patrick Boyd as its new principal after Superintendent Jason Golden announced the change on March 25. He will begin his role on June 1 — replacing retiring Dr. Pam Vaden. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Franklin Road Academy music teacher Bob Chandler was named 2026 High School Jazz Educator of the Year today by the Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble Advisory Council. He has taught for 30+ years and helped keep jazz alive in the community. Williamson County Source
- ➤ On March 18, FirstBank Amphitheater and Gibson Gives donated $43,409 to Williamson County Schools to fund new musical instruments and replace older ones via a guitar auction. The contribution supports music education and creative opportunities for students. Williamson County Source
- ➤ At the March 23 school board meeting, Jason Golden and Cory Mason reported that the board approved the 2026-27 budget, gave teachers a 4% raise, increased spending on textbooks, and planned an innovation center opening. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Students applying for Tennessee Promise must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by April 1 to remain eligible; school counselors and online guides are available for support. Applicants are reminded that the Tennessee Promise application was due Nov. 3. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Local middle and high schools are opening spring theater shows from March 26 to March 29, with performances including Legacy Middle’s Seussical at Henpeck Lane in Franklin, Franklin High’s Cinderella at Hillsboro Road, and Summit High’s Frozen at Twin Lakes Drive (tickets are available online). - ➤ TEC and Nissan will host a free drive-through Recycling Roundup on Saturday, Apr. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nissan’s Franklin Headquarters; residents can drop off hard-to-recycle items (electronics, tires, metal, textiles and more) to celebrate Earth Day. Williamson County Source

- ➤ Franklin Police are distributing free 'Look Before You Lock' placards at car seat safety checks & community events to remind drivers to inspect back seats as temperatures rise. Residents can also pick up a tag at Police Headquarters. Williamson County Source
