- ➤ The Custom Cowgirl held its ribbon cutting at the Williamson, Inc. Offices on March 25—celebrating the launch of its mobile hat studio. The event marked a new venture in local custom hat design. Williamson County Source
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Franklin Police Department announced that all patrol vehicles will soon show the Crime Stoppers phone number (615) 794-4000 to let residents report anonymous tips. Police Chief Deb Faulkner said the new step will help keep Franklin safe while offering rewards of up to $1,000 if tips lead to an arrest. Williamson County Source
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. National Weather Service confirmed three tornadoes touched down in Middle Tennessee Sunday night—an EF-2 in Hampshire with 120 mph winds, 400-yard width, and a 5.1-mile path, an EF-1 in Mt. Pleasant with 100 mph winds and a 300-yard width, and an EF-0 in Fairview with 85 mph winds and a 150-yard width. Damage assessments are still under way—officials may confirm a fourth tornado as surveys continue. Williamson County Source
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Routine inspections in Williamson County from March 25 to April 1 recorded the lowest health scores for local food establishments. Sweet Dreams Bakery and Bubble Tea, Grecian Pizzeria and Bunganut Pig were inspected on March 28, March 31 and March 26 respectively—inspection reports are available for public review.
