COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Today, from 10 to 11 a.m. CT, singer Luke Bryan will join Todd Graves at Raising Cane’s in Franklin at 7087 Bakers Bridge Ave to celebrate a $1 million donation to The Brett Boyer Foundation. Bryan will work a shift at the restaurant—serving customers as Graves presents the check to support the foundation’s mission.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Local Eagleville teen Mattie Pruitt, 15, performed 'A Man's World' on American Idol last night and advanced to the Top 24 after judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan + Carrie Underwood praised her performance. She is the season's youngest contestant, and her progress will be closely watched as the competition continues.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Franklin and its Board of Mayor and Aldermen broke ground on the Pearlene M. Bransford Complex on March 26th at 3452 Carothers Parkway. The new park called The Pearl will feature football and lacrosse fields, an inclusive playground named Ellie G’s Dream World, an ADA-accessible riverwalk, and restrooms—future phases will add additional sports fields and recreational amenities.  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • Williamson County hotels underwent health inspections in March with results recorded by the health department from March 6 to March 31. The report shows scores ranging from 948 at Embassy Suites Hotel to 981 at Deerfield Inn and 996 at Hilton Franklin Cool Springs Hotel—other properties in Brentwood and Fairview were also inspected.  Williamson County Source

  • Williamson County property transfers recorded from March 17–21 include homes, condos and office spaces in Franklin, Brentwood, Spring Hill and Nolensville. Sale prices ranged from $177,900 to $6,490,000 and the record lists addresses and property details for local buyers to review.  Williamson County Source

  • Vanderbilt men’s golf junior Wells Williams won the 2025 Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club with a 15-under 198 score — his personal best. He won by two strokes over defending champion Jackson Koivun, marking his second win this season.  Williamson County Source
