  • Visit Franklin has hired Tatiana Wells as its new Senior Director of Visitor Experience to lead programs at downtown Franklin and The Factory.   • Acclaimed guitarist Albert Cummings will light up Franklin Theatre with an electrifying night of blues-rock tomorrow at 7 pm+ appealing to fans seeking a lively musical performance.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Williamson County Schools recognized 13 departmental employees for their dedicated support during the 2025-26 school year. The awards honor staff from various areas, including special education, IT, and maintenance, who help the district deliver quality education.  Williamson County Source
  • Registration is open for the WCS/Franklin Special District (FSD) Summer Orchestra Camp that will run from June 22-26, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Freedom Middle School on 1000 Excellence Way for rising seventh to ninth-grade orchestra students.  Williamson County Source
  • Rising seventh and eighth grade girls can attend the Girls TEC Camp from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. May 26 through 29 at the Entrepreneurship Center at 104 Claude Yates Drive in Franklin; the camp costs $60 per student and covers field trips, lunch, snacks and supplies.  Williamson County Source

  • Franklin's Fire Department announced that Engineer Wylie Jones retires after 26 years as he finishes his final 24-hour shift at 6 a.m. Sunday — a local firefighter who served downtown and Westhaven and now plans to enjoy more time with his family and writing.  Williamson County Source
