CRIME NEWS

  • Spring Hill Police Department detectives are investigating a purse theft at Publix after the victim was distracted and the suspect used her credit cards on March 27 at Walmart in Spring Hill and Home Depots in Franklin/Brentwood—he left in a white Honda Pilot.  Williamson County Source
  • Franklin Police Department arrested Angelia Solomon (55) on Friday afternoon with TBI assistance and charged her with solicitation to commit first degree murder against her ex-husband while she is held on a $500,000 bond as the investigation continues.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • On April 5, Studio Tenn celebrated 15 seasons of theatre with its One Night Only Gala that featured special performances by revered actors—Broadway star Jessie Mueller delivered a show-stopping act at the event.  Williamson County Source
  • The Daughters of the American Revolution will open the American Revolution Experience at Williamson County Archives and Museum at 611 W. Main Street on May 5. The exhibit—showing digital kiosks, panels and old items—will run until May 13 and includes a reception on May 10 with a display on female patriots.  Williamson County Source
  • Heritage Foundation will host the annual Main Street Festival on April 26th and April 27th in downtown Franklin. The free event will feature over 150 art and craft vendors, local food, live music, a new VIP picnic experience on St. Philips Church lawn, and Franklin Transit shuttle service from 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.—rides cost $1 each way.  Williamson County Source
