- ➤ Ludlow & Prime closed its Berry Farms restaurant at 6001 Hughes Crossing in Franklin (its second location, after Brentwood Place closed in January 2025) amid financial struggles. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Painted Tree Boutiques closed all its locations today after notifying vendors on Tuesday + the retail chain had sites in Franklin, Murfreesboro and Madison. Williamson County Source
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County named Tyler and Meg Borders as Ball Chairs for the 53rd Heritage Ball, set for Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bicentennial Park in Franklin — they are recognized for their long-standing support of local heritage. Williamson County Source
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ High school media students from local schools won awards at the NATAS Nashville/Midsouth Student Production Awards and will compete for national honors later this year. Brentwood, Centennial, Franklin, Independence and Page students were recognized for work in video, animation, editing, directing and writing + talent. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Williamson County Schools is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary by hosting events, activities and commemorative designs across athletics, arts and academics from now through the first semester of the 2026 to 27 school year — with Ravenwood High School student Alex Goldberg’s winning logo used on decals and flags. - ➤ HOSA students from district high schools won top awards at the Tennessee State Leadership Conference (Mar. 30-Apr. 1) and will compete internationally at the end of June, showcasing skills in leadership and health sciences. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Local high school media students were honored at the THSPA Student Media Awards where Brentwood High won multiple first-place awards + Page High’s Mason Lackey took Best Sports Video. Teachers praised the students for their creative work on the state stage. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Williamson County students and teachers shined at the TMEA Conference from April 9 to 12. Page Middle band director Carolyn Hankins was honored as Outstanding Middle School Music Educator—Ravenwood High’s Jazz Band was the only state jazz ensemble present. Williamson County Source

- ➤ The Health Department released its latest inspection scores for food service establishments in Williamson County from April 8 to 15, 2026, marking the lowest ratings this cycle; establishments must post these reports publicly & consumers should call 8002938228 for food safety concerns. - ➤ Chipotle Mexican Grill at 269 Franklin Rd in Brentwood received a score of 74 on Apr. 13 when an inspection reported nine violations + 5 lbs of food were embargoed for safety concerns. Williamson County Source
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Franklin High's varsity boys soccer team defeated the Independence High Eagles 3-1 on Friday, April 10. Three first-half goals propelled the Admirals ahead while the Eagles managed one goal in the second half. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Flag football resumed last week as Brentwood, Franklin & Summit high schools faced off on April 8, with Brentwood edging Franklin 13-12 in overtime, Summit defeating Brentwood 18-13, and Franklin winning 20-0. Williamson County Source
- ➤ The Centennial High Cougars and Ravenwood High Raptors played baseball on April 7. The Cougars scored early but the Raptors later built momentum to win 15-2 at a Williamson County athletic field. Williamson County Source
