GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Several members of the Franklin Police Department returned from a backpacking trip to the scenic Grayson Highlands, Virginia as part of a wellness retreat organized by the nonprofit (Frontline Freedom). Officers (Lieutenant Clayton Cates, Sergeant Sam Greer, Detective Dillon Lipinski, Officer Matt Lamarr, and Officer Ryan Frazier) used the trip to recharge and get ready for the challenges of their daily work.  Williamson County Source
  • The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office retired two dedicated K9s—Hattie and Cas—after many years of service in narcotics detection and tracking. Hattie began her service on October 8, 2020, and will now live with Lieutenant Fann's family while Cas, who served from January 7, 2021, to March 1, will enjoy retirement with Investigator Rowe.  Williamson County Source

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Records show that numerous property transfers took place in Franklin from March 31 to April 4 with sales prices ranging from $335,000 to $9,532,158 across several subdivisions — the data provides key details for buyers and sellers in the local market.  Williamson County Source
  • Leasing activity is well underway at Canteen on Carothers in Franklin’s Cool Springs submarket where Stockbridge Capital Group is converting an existing office park into a mixed-use hub—offering retail, dining, and live events—to serve office workers and local residents. Designed by TMP, the 10-acre development featuring six freestanding buildings and a four-tier parking deck began in August 2023 and continues to attract new tenants.  Williamson County Source
  • The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County said it will add restrictive covenants and easements to the deeds at 108 and 112 Bridge Street and then market the historic properties for sale. The building at 108, which currently hosts the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center, will move to Franklin Grove while the 12 employees in the office at 112 will shift to a new location—ensuring the properties’ historic character is preserved for the community.  Williamson County Source
