CULTURE NEWS

  • The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County hosted the annual Main Street Festival in historic downtown Franklin on April 26—April 27, drawing over 120,000 guests and featuring more than 150 arts and crafts vendors, 30 food and beverage vendors, live music, performances, KidsZone, PetZone and art exhibits. Photos from the event show a lively celebration of Williamson County’s arts and culture.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Franklin Tomorrow partnered with the City of Franklin and its Public Arts Commission to launch a contest for Williamson County residents to design original I Voted stickers for use in the October 28 election and early voting period. Designers must submit artwork created without artificial intelligence and without political bias by 5 p.m. May 30 + winners will be announced in August.  Williamson County Source
  • Franklin police officers Brion Delap and Erick Lee saved a man's life on January 30 when he jumped from the 4th Ave parking garage in downtown Franklin and swiftly intervened before he could be harmed—his rescue turned a routine welfare check into a life-saving action. The officers were honored on April 27 at Williamson County Public Library with the Life Saving Award from the Sons of the American Revolution—Chief Deb Faulkner said their quick response reflects the heart of the Franklin Police Department.  Williamson County Source

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury received $46,500 from Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee—funded by a $500,000 THDA grant—to build two new homes in Maury County for first-time buyers. This funding will help expand homeownership opportunities while supporting community stability.  Williamson County Source
