- ➤ Events by Coco Cadeaux announced the official launch of the Church Street Farmers Market, which will begin on Saturday, May 24 at 408 Church Street from 9 am until noon, and is set to bring local farmers, artisans, and small businesses together to offer farm-fresh produce, handmade goods, live music, and family-friendly activities + showcasing the community's talent and spirit. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Williamson County Schools announced its Departmental Employees of the Year and Superintendent Jason Golden praised the key staff members for their vital contributions to the district—efforts that often go unnoticed. The awards honor employees from support services, counseling, technology, and maintenance who help keep schools running smoothly. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Franklin High's National History Honor Society earned the National Chapter of the Year award for the third time since 2012—one of six top chapters nationwide. Teacher Ray Scheetz said club president Becca Sharman helped the school achieve this honor. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Williamson County Schools celebrated 42 graduates who pledged to join the Armed Forces at a Military Recognition Ceremony held on May 1—Superintendent Jason Golden thanked the students and their families for their commitment. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Franklin High invites aspiring athletes to train this summer with sports camps offered from May 27 through July 24. The school at 810 Hillsboro Road offers camps in soccer, basketball, bowling, wrestling, football, softball, baseball, cheer and dance (most camps require online registration while softball camps register separately). - ➤ Independence High School students passed the state CNA exam, earning white cords for graduation and a special pinning ceremony + all 15 met the certification requirements. They completed 90 classroom hours, 60 lab hours and 24 clinical hours + trained at NHC Franklin twice a week. Williamson County Source
