  • The Franklin Rodeo will run May 15-17 with cowboys and cowgirls competing in events like bronc riding, bull riding, racing and roping, while community sponsors and volunteers help raise money for local charities—organizers say that support has granted millions to area causes over the years.  Williamson County Source
  • Arrington Farmers Market opened its first season on Wednesday, May 7, outside the seasonal Farm Store at 6361 Cox Road at Delvin Farms—its weekly market, running until Oct. 29 from 3:30-6 p.m., will feature up to 40 vendors and about 15 local farmers—offering fresh produce, dairy, and farm-raised goods.  Williamson Herald

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Franklin Police Department headquarters now shines blue each evening as a tribute to law enforcement during National Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day—its lights will remain through the end of May and the department invites the public to show support with blue ribbons or flags.  Williamson County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • AvKARE in Pulaski recalled several eye care products after an FDA audit found that manufacturing practices did not meet standards—customers and healthcare providers nationwide, including in Tennessee, are urged to stop using these items distributed between May 26, 2023 and April 21.  Williamson County Source
